Esclavo XXV is the reality of a dream come true- having my own Andalusian horses.   Visitors are welcome by appointment. He is standing at Wind Dance Farms in Santa Maria, Ca.  His esteemed trainer German Baca is working with him towards presentations in traditional Spanish attire and tack in the Doma Vaquera traditions.

Esclavo was a participant of equine photographer April Visel's May, '06 photographer  workshop and photo shoot on the Summerland beach and in the high canyon meadows of Ojai, California.

Esclavo XXV is an import from the Marques Velilla, S.L. ranch in Malaga, Spain. According to his Spanish passport, he was noted as a "castana obscuro" - dark or black bay - but he has been DNA color tested as black.... Ee / a.

Quita and Calia CdVHis 'lady in waiting' is P.R.E. QUITASUENA KDW.  She was bred to Esclavo XXV and produced Calia CdV, inscribed.

Calia was born 5/24/07; an ultrasound had  revealed that there was a very strong probability that this foal would be a filly and, lucky me, she was!

Esclavo has since given Quita a full sister to Calia... Castiza CdV, inscribed. Quita has been rebred for a 7/2010 foal which is for sale in utero.

This is Hercules, Esclavo's first American born son. He also has a colt and a filly born in Spain in '03 and '04.

Esclavo has produced four sons and has proved his worth in the production of 9 fillies in his limited crop of foals. He was bred by CdV in '06, 07, 09 and will be be standing in '10 at friend Carol Walch's new ranch in E. Santa Maria.
Carol is now the proud owner of Castiza CdV, Esclavo and Quitasuena's second ('08) filly.

See Calia, their first USA daughter, on the sale page.

A note from Linda: I have been horse   crazy for all my life.

I rode every day I could during my teens. I was lucky to experience the wonders of AQHA, Tennessee Walker, Foxtrotter, and many others including a long term relationship with Peruvians, one of whom -Spirit - I still own and ride.

I feel very privileged to have the Andalusian P.R.E.

Popular Andalusian crosses:

Andalusian x Quarter Horse or APHA = Azteca

Andalusian x Thoroughbred = Iberian Warmblood

Andalusian x Percheron = Spanish Norman

Andalusian x Arabian = Hispano Arabe

All the above are eligible for registration as 1/2 Andalusian in the IALHA and as purebreds in their respective breed registries.

Quarters, Thoroughbreds, Percherons, Arabians also have 1/2 blood registries.
